From 12 to 14 November 2025, the CROSSPATHS consortium will travel to the Wageningen University & Research (WUR) campus for a strategic visit aimed at deepening collaboration on research infrastructures, value creation, and agri-food innovation.
The programme will begin with a welcome and introduction session hosted by the WUR team, followed by an overview of the university’s mission, Central & Eastern Europe partnerships and research & innovation strategy. Participants will then visit Food and Biobased Research facilities, meeting laboratory managers and researchers to explore stakeholder engagement, partnerships, and technology valorisation.
The afternoon will focus on campus collaboration and shared research facilities, highlighting how WUR drives co-creation of value and impact across disciplines and industrial partners.
On the second day, the consortium will meet with the Animal Science Group, with exchanges on management, business development, and current R&I project themes. An interactive discussion will foster new opportunities for joint initiatives. The visit will conclude with a tour of the Carus animal research laboratories, a key component of WUR’s scientific infrastructure.
Representatives from the Estonian University of Life Sciences, the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Catholic University of Portugal will join this important step towards stronger European cooperation.
By connecting regional strengths with globally-recognised expertise at WUR, CROSSPATHS continues to build a robust foundation for healthy, sustainable and affordable food innovation across Europe.
