The Crosspaths project partners gathered on the 27th and 28th of April 2026 at the Estonian University of Life Sciences (EMU) in Tartu, Estonia for two events.
The first was the laboratory managers’ event on 27.04.2026. It brought together professionals for a full-day exchange focused on laboratory practices, challenges, and collaboration. The programme included guided visits to multiple specialised laboratories, such as the Food Science and Technology, the Food Hygiene and Safety, the Aquaculture and the Biosystems Engineering laboratories, offering participants direct insight into different research environments and technical infrastructures.
The participants also delivered short presentations introducing their roles, platforms, and key responsibilities within their institutions. These presentations highlighted their main services, operational challenges, and interactions with users and research teams. The day concluded with a joint discussion and wrap-up session aimed at sharing experiences and identifying common solutions for laboratory management.
The second event was the 3rd Crosspaths Co-Creational Workshop on 28.04.2026, that brought together researchers, specialists, and international partners to strengthen collaboration and innovation in the field of food science and biotechnology. The event focused on knowledge transfer, networking, and the practical use of European funding opportunities in research and innovation activities. The programme included institutional presentations, discussions on knowledge transfer practices, and examples of collaboration between universities and the industry. Interactive sessions, including networking activities and a World Café format, encouraged participants to exchange ideas and develop new cooperation pathways. The workshop concluded with a joint summary session, highlighting key insights and supporting future international collaboration initiatives.
